Il sole della Florida in casa | Florida's sun in the house

Questa è una casa per vacanze degli anni Trenta in stile Art Decò,  con un ampliamento recente, che si trova a Miami South Beach. L'interior designer americano Robert Kaner l'ha progettata sia per un soggiorno tranquillo e riposante sia per ricevere gli amici.
La casa è caratterizzata dalla luminosità intensificata dai colori vitaminici giallo e verde.
In un angolo del giardino si trova una piccola casa per gli ospiti, ricavata da un deposito per la piscina.
Oltre alla camera da letto e al bagno per gli ospiti, si trova anche una cucina/lavanderia con lavatrice, forno a microonde e deposito asciugamani e creme solari.
Qui domina ovunque l'azzurro, declinato in diverse tonalità.

This is a holiday home of the thirties in an Art Deco style, with a recent addition, which is located in Miami's South Beach.
The American interior designer Robert Kaner has designed both for a peaceful and relaxing stay and to receive friends.
The house is characterized by the brightness intensified by vitamin colors yellow and green.
In a corner of the garden there's a small guest house, converted from a poolside utility.
In addition to the guest bedroom and bathroom, there is also a kitchen/laundry room with washing machine, microwave and store for towels and sunscreen.
Here the light blue dominates everywhere, available in different shades.

Un loft a Barcellona | A Barcelona Loft

Questo è un loft situato nel cuore di Barcellona. Il suo proprietario Benito è venuto ad abitarci con la sua famiglia, dopo aver vissuto in una lussuosa villa arredata con costosi mobili di design. Ma il lusso lo annoiava e ha deciso di cambiare lavoro e casa. Così ha scelto questo stile industriale un po' decadente: mattoni a vista, intonaci scrostati, pavimento di cemento logoro...
Si tratta di un'ex tipografia di 800 mq che Benito ha ristrutturato senza snaturarla, bensì conservandone lo spirito industriale.
Poi vi ha inserito alcuni dei mobili e lampadari che arredavano la sua villa: il lampadario in vetro di Murano, il tavolo e le sedie della sala da pranzo, la cucina laccata lucida bianca e gli sgabelli Bombo contrastano piacevolmente con la rudezza dell'edificio.

This is a loft located in the heart of Barcelona. Its owner Benito came to live here with his family, after living in a luxurious villa furnished with expensive designer furniture.
But luxury bored him and he decided to change work and home. So he chose this industrial style, a little decadent: exposed bricks, scraped plaster, worn concrete floor...
It was a typography of 800 square meters that Benito has restructured without denaturalize it, but retaining the industrial spirit.
Then he put inside it some of the furniture and chandeliers that furnished his villa: the Murano glass chandelier, the table and chairs in the dining room, the white high gloss kitchen and the Bombo stools contrast nicely with the harshness of the building.

Casa Restelo a Lisbona | Restelo house in Lisbon

Vi propongo nuovamente un progetto di Vera Iachia, geniale interior designer portoghese.

La Villa Restelo si trova a Lisbona ed ha una magnifica piscina rivestita in mosaico nei toni del verde.

La designer gioca con il colore anche nella zona bar, dipingendo le pareti di arancio brillante ed accentuandolo con il tappeto in nuance.

Le altre stanze hanno invece tonalità calde dal beige al marrone.

I propose you again a project of Vera Iachia, a brilliant  Portuguese interior designer.

The Restelo Villa is located in Lisbon and has a great pool covered in mosaic in shades of green.

The designer plays with color even in the bar area, painting the walls bright orange and emphasize it with the carpet in nuance.

The other rooms have rather warm tones from beige to brown.

Una casa a colori negli U.S.A. | A color house in the U.S.A.

Questa è la casa dell'illustratrice Kristin Nicholas e di suo marito Mark nella Franklin County, in Massachussetts. E' un edificio costruito nel 1751 che lei ha lentamente trasformato negli anni, dipingendola a vividi colori e riempiendola di oggetti di famiglia o da lei creati (è abile anche con i ferri e l'uncinetto).

Appoggiato ad una parete verde acido si fa notare un bel mobiletto degli anni Venti (appartenuto ad una zia di Kristin) rinato a nuova vita grazie a una vernice rosso fuoco.

I muri della sala da pranzo, della scala e del soggiorno sono decorati con disegni dipinti da Kristin. I suoi dipinti, i cuscini e le lampade decorano ogni angolo della casa.

This is the house of the illustrator Kristin Nicholas and her husband Mark in Franklin County, Massachusetts. It's a 1751 building that she has slowly transformed over the years, by painting in vivid colors and filling it with family heirlooms or objects that she created (she's also skilled with knitting and crochet).

Leaning against a lime green wall  stands out a cabinet of the Twenties (belonged to an aunt of Kristin) born to new life with a fiery red paint.
The walls of the dining room, stairs and living room are decorated with designs painted by Kristin. Her paintings, pillows and lamps decorate every corner of the house.

La casa di un artista | House of an Artist

Questa è la casa dell'artista tailandese Torlarp Larpjaroensook, noto come Hern, situata a Chiang Mai e da lui stesso progettata nei minimi dettagli.
Hern è nato nel 1977 nella provincia di Ayutthaya (Tailandia centrale) dove ha imparato ad amare la natura ed ha scoperto la sua passione per l'arte.
L'arte permea ogni attimo della sua vita e la casa in cui vive lo dimostra: le sue opere sono sparse ovunque, finestre e porte hanno tutte forme diverse, la doccia è sotto le stelle (o il sole... dipende dal tempo) ed il suo colore preferito (il verde) domina il bagno del piano terra fin dentro la vasca.
Solo la camera è spoglia, "un letto per dormine e nient'altro".

This is the home of the Thai artist Torlarp Larpjaroensook, known as Hern, located in Chiang Mai and designed hby imself in every detail.
Hern was born in 1977 in Ayutthaya province (central Thailand) where he learned to love nature and discovered his passion for art.
The art permeates every moment of his life and the house in which he lives is the evidence: his works are scattered everywhere, all Windows and doors have different shapes, the shower is under the stars (or the sun... it depends on the weather) and his favorite color (green) dominates the bathroom on the ground floor right into the bathtub.
Only the bedroom is bare, "a bed to sleep and nothing else."

Questa è una favolosa casa per vacanze portoghese in cui domina il bianco spezzato da tocchi di azzurro mare e materiali naturali.

Il legno è presente in ogni stanza e anche all'esterno: mobili, boiserie, paraventi, pavimentazione esterna, pergolato...

Il corridoio d'ingresso è caratterizzato da una stretta fessura nel pavimento in cui sono stati messi dei ciottoli.

E' progettata dalla designer portoghese Vera Iachia di cui ho pubblicato anche: Villa Lapa, Casa Restelo, Chalet a Gstaadt.

This is a fabulous Portuguese holiday's home where the White predominates, broken by touches of blue sea and natural materials.

The wood is present in every room and also outdoor: furniture, paneling, screens, paving, pergola...

The entrance hallway is characterized by a narrow slit in the floor in which there are pebbles.

It is designed by Portuguese designer Vera Iachia, of whom I published also:

Questo è un altro progetto dell'interior designer portoghese Vera Iachia (di cui vi avevo illustrato Villa Lapa, Casa Tataui e Casa Restelo).

In questo chalet di montagna il legno domina gli ambienti, ma in versione minimalista e moderna.
Nella zona giorno e nella zona conversazione attorno al camino, il beige delle pareti e di alcuni tessuti è vivacizzato da tocchi di rosso e di grigio.
In cucina il legno è accostato al tenue celeste dei mobili dal design semplicissimo.

This is another project of Portuguese interior designer Vera Iachia (of whom I showed you Villa Lapa, Casa Tataui and Casa Restelo).
In this mountain chalet the wood dominates rooms, but in a minimalist and modern version.
In the living room and in the concersation area around the fireplace, the beige color of walls and of textiles it is enlivened by touches of red and gray.
In the kitchen, the wood is approached the light blue of furniture with a simple design.
