Decorazioni autunnali per la casa. | Autumn decorations for the House.

Siamo in autunno, la stagione dai mille colori.
Non so a voi, ma a me piace cambiare le decorazioni della casa in base alle stagioni (meglio se con oggetti creati da me, con elementi naturali). Sassi, stelle marine e conchiglie d'estate; pigne, zucche, melograne e foglie in autunno; fiori in primavera...
Il bello dell'autunno sono proprio le foglie dalle calde sfumature e le bacche: entrambe si prestano bene alle decorazioni.
Per preservarne il colore è bene immergere le foglie nella cera liquida prima di utilizzarle.

I don't know you, but I like to change House decor according to the seasons (preferably with objects created by me, with natural elements). Stones, starfish and seashells in the summer; pine cones, pumpkins, pomegranates and leaves in autumn; flowers in spring ...
The beauty of autumn are just the warm tones leaves and the berries: both lend themselves well to the decorations.
To preserve the color is good to soak the leaves in liquid wax before use.

L'hotel dei miei sogni... | The Hotel of my dreams...

Chi non vorrebbe andare, almeno una volta nella vita, in un Hotel come questo? E' il Perivolas Hotel di Santorini (Grecia), un connubio tra il panorama mozzafiato, l'architettura tradizionale sapientemente ristrutturata e la tranquillità che regna sovrana.
La piscina a sfioro si affaccia sul mare, che sembra esserne la naturale continuazione. L'interno è tutto intonacato a calce e ravvivato da tessuti nei toni del viola e del fucsia. La Perivolas Suite include una spa privata con Jacuzzi tonda incassata nel pavimento e anche una piscina che dall'interno si prolunga sulla terrazza privata.
Ho provato a prenotare poco fa, ma nonostante i prezzi per il mese di Ottobre partano dai 420€ a notte (inclusa colazione e tasse) dello Studio ai 1500€ della Perivolas Suite (di 140 mq) pare che la disponibilità sia limitata. Per qualcuno la crisi non c'è...

Who doesn't like to go, at least once in life, in a Hotel like this? It's Perivolas Hotel in Santorini (Greece), a combination of the breathtaking scenery, carefully restored traditional architecture and tranquility that reigns supreme.
The infinity pool overlook the sea, and seems to be its natural continuation. The interior is all whitewashed and enlivened by fabrics in shades of purple and fuchsia. The Perivolas Suite includes a private spa with round sunken Jacuzzi and a swimming pool that extends from the inside on the private terrace.
I tried to book a little while ago, but despite of the prices (for October they start from 420€ per night, including breakfast and taxes, for Studio room and arrive until 1500€ for Perivolas suite, 140 square meters) it seems that the availability is limited. For some, the crisis doesn't exist...

Questa è Casa Lapa, una meravigliosa villa di Lisbona progettata dall'interior designer portoghese Vera Iachia. La designer gioca con colori e materiali, creando uno stile unico in ogni stanza della casa. Le opere d'arte punteggiano gli ambienti, posizionate strategicamente in armonia con il contesto.
Dato che mi piace molto il suo gusto eclettico, ho pubblicato altri suoi progetti: lo chalet a Gstaadt, casa Tataui e casa Restelo a Lisbona. Quale preferite?

This is Lapa house, a wonderful villa of Lisbon designed by Portuguese interior designer Vera Iachia.
The designer plays with colors and materials, creating a unique style in every room of the house. The works of art punctuate environments, strategically placed in harmony with the context.
Since I really like her eclectic taste, I published other projects: the chalet in Gstaad, casa Tataui and  casa Restelo in Lisbon. Which one do you prefer?

La prima volta che vidi una piscina a sfioro, e ne rimasi incantata, fu guardando il film "L'avvocato del diavolo" del 1997 con Al Pacino, Keanu Reeves e la stupenda Charlize Theron.

Straordinaria villa in riva al mare delle Bahamas | An exraordinary Bahamas villa by the sea

Villa Nandana (che non a caso significa Paradiso in Sanscrito) si trova sulla costa orientale dell'Isola di Grand Bahama e può ospitare fino a 12 persone. Si può affittare per le vacanze, completa di personale di servizio per una cifra che parte dai 6000€ a notte (esclusi cibo, chef, servizi spa e uso dello yatch con relativo personale di bordo). 
Nella villa potete trovare una collezione d'arte orientale, proveniente dal Vietnam, dalla Tailandia e dalla Cambogia: sculture di legno, tesori di seta, bassorilievi di templi. L'ingresso, ad esempio, è chiuso da due porte in teak dell'Ottocento provenienti da un tempio di Java.
L'interno è tutto in legno, decorato da decorazioni floreali e geometriche scolpite in bassorilievo.

Villa Nandana (which not surprisingly means Heaven in Sanskrit) is located on the far east end of Grand Bahama Island and can accommodate up to 12 people. You can rent for the holidays, complete with personal service for a fee that starts from 6000€ per night (excluding food, chef, spa services and use of the yacht with its crew). 
In the villa you can find a collection of Oriental art, from Vietnam, Thailand and Cambodia: wood carvings, silk treasures, bas-reliefs of temples. The entrance, for example, is closed by two teak doors of the Nineteenth Century coming from a temple in Java. 
The interior is all wood, decorated with floral and geometric decorations carved in bas-relief.

Sarà per il caldo afoso che c'è qui nella pianura padana in questi giorni, sarà che in vacanza non ci sono ancora andata (e sicuramente purtroppo non andrò qui), sarà che è di una bellezza mozzafiato... ma anche oggi vi presento un Hotel di Lusso con piscine da sogno.
Maybe for the extreme heat there is in the Po Valley (Italy) these days, maybe because I've not been on Holiday yet (and certainly unfortunately I will not go here), maybe because it's breathtakingly beautiful ... but today I present a luxury hotel with dreamlike swimming pools.

La piscina più grande del mondo | The biggest swimming pool of the world

Se quella che avete visto nel post L'hotel dei miei sogni è una delle piscine più belle del mondo, stavolta vi presento la più grande!
Si trova in Cile nel Resort San Alfonso del Mar, 90 km a ovest di Santiago. E' una piscina lunga più di un chilometro con una superficie di 8 ettari che utilizza 250 milioni di litri d'acqua dell'oceano. Grazie ad una sofisticata tecnologia sviluppata dalla Crystal Lagoons l'acqua rimane trasparente ed in estate mantiene la temperatura costante di 26°C, 9 gradi in più del vicino oceano.
Per far sentire i propri ospiti ai tropici, la piscina è circondata da una spiaggia artificiale con sabbia bianca e palme.
Le attività proposte nel resort sono numerose: dagli sport acquatici agli sport terrestri, dai parchi gioco per bambini alla discoteca sotterranea e al Teen-pub per adolescenti, palestra, sauna, Jacuzzi open-air e spa, dal supermercato al ristorante North Bay. E per finire c'è lo straordinario SubAqua Café  con l'acquario più grande del Cile che ospita 60 specie ittiche visibili dalla vetrata lunga 25 metri.

It is located in Chile in San Alfonso del Mar Resort, 90 km west of Santiago. It's more than a kilometer length with an area of ​​8 hectares, using 250 million gallons of ocean water. Thanks to a sophisticated technology (developed by Crystal Lagoons) water remains transparent and in summer it maintains a constant temperature of 26°C, 9 degrees more than the nearby ocean. 
To make its guests feeling in the tropics, the pool is surrounded by an artificial beach with white sand and palm trees.
