La casa di un artista | House of an Artist

Questa è la casa dell'artista tailandese Torlarp Larpjaroensook, noto come Hern, situata a Chiang Mai e da lui stesso progettata nei minimi dettagli.
Hern è nato nel 1977 nella provincia di Ayutthaya (Tailandia centrale) dove ha imparato ad amare la natura ed ha scoperto la sua passione per l'arte.
L'arte permea ogni attimo della sua vita e la casa in cui vive lo dimostra: le sue opere sono sparse ovunque, finestre e porte hanno tutte forme diverse, la doccia è sotto le stelle (o il sole... dipende dal tempo) ed il suo colore preferito (il verde) domina il bagno del piano terra fin dentro la vasca.
Solo la camera è spoglia, "un letto per dormine e nient'altro".

This is the home of the Thai artist Torlarp Larpjaroensook, known as Hern, located in Chiang Mai and designed hby imself in every detail.
Hern was born in 1977 in Ayutthaya province (central Thailand) where he learned to love nature and discovered his passion for art.
The art permeates every moment of his life and the house in which he lives is the evidence: his works are scattered everywhere, all Windows and doors have different shapes, the shower is under the stars (or the sun... it depends on the weather) and his favorite color (green) dominates the bathroom on the ground floor right into the bathtub.
Only the bedroom is bare, "a bed to sleep and nothing else."

Questa è una favolosa casa per vacanze portoghese in cui domina il bianco spezzato da tocchi di azzurro mare e materiali naturali.

Il legno è presente in ogni stanza e anche all'esterno: mobili, boiserie, paraventi, pavimentazione esterna, pergolato...

Il corridoio d'ingresso è caratterizzato da una stretta fessura nel pavimento in cui sono stati messi dei ciottoli.

E' progettata dalla designer portoghese Vera Iachia di cui ho pubblicato anche: Villa Lapa, Casa Restelo, Chalet a Gstaadt.

This is a fabulous Portuguese holiday's home where the White predominates, broken by touches of blue sea and natural materials.

The wood is present in every room and also outdoor: furniture, paneling, screens, paving, pergola...

The entrance hallway is characterized by a narrow slit in the floor in which there are pebbles.

It is designed by Portuguese designer Vera Iachia, of whom I published also:

Questo è un altro progetto dell'interior designer portoghese Vera Iachia (di cui vi avevo illustrato Villa Lapa, Casa Tataui e Casa Restelo).

In questo chalet di montagna il legno domina gli ambienti, ma in versione minimalista e moderna.
Nella zona giorno e nella zona conversazione attorno al camino, il beige delle pareti e di alcuni tessuti è vivacizzato da tocchi di rosso e di grigio.
In cucina il legno è accostato al tenue celeste dei mobili dal design semplicissimo.

This is another project of Portuguese interior designer Vera Iachia (of whom I showed you Villa Lapa, Casa Tataui and Casa Restelo).
In this mountain chalet the wood dominates rooms, but in a minimalist and modern version.
In the living room and in the concersation area around the fireplace, the beige color of walls and of textiles it is enlivened by touches of red and gray.
In the kitchen, the wood is approached the light blue of furniture with a simple design.

Siamo in autunno, la stagione dai mille colori.
Non so a voi, ma a me piace cambiare le decorazioni della casa in base alle stagioni (meglio se con oggetti creati da me, con elementi naturali). Sassi, stelle marine e conchiglie d'estate; pigne, zucche, melograne e foglie in autunno; fiori in primavera...
Il bello dell'autunno sono proprio le foglie dalle calde sfumature e le bacche: entrambe si prestano bene alle decorazioni.
Per preservarne il colore è bene immergere le foglie nella cera liquida prima di utilizzarle.

We are in Autumn, season of many colors.
I don't know you, but I like to change House decor according to the seasons (preferably with objects created by me, with natural elements). Stones, starfish and seashells in the summer; pine cones, pumpkins, pomegranates and leaves in autumn; flowers in spring ...
The beauty of autumn are just the warm tones leaves and the berries: both lend themselves well to the decorations.
To preserve the color is good to soak the leaves in liquid wax before use.

L'hotel dei miei sogni... | The Hotel of my dreams...

Chi non vorrebbe andare, almeno una volta nella vita, in un Hotel come questo? E' il Perivolas Hotel di Santorini (Grecia), un connubio tra il panorama mozzafiato, l'architettura tradizionale sapientemente ristrutturata e la tranquillità che regna sovrana.
La piscina a sfioro si affaccia sul mare, che sembra esserne la naturale continuazione. L'interno è tutto intonacato a calce e ravvivato da tessuti nei toni del viola e del fucsia. La Perivolas Suite include una spa privata con Jacuzzi tonda incassata nel pavimento e anche una piscina che dall'interno si prolunga sulla terrazza privata.
Ho provato a prenotare poco fa, ma nonostante i prezzi per il mese di Ottobre partano dai 420€ a notte (inclusa colazione e tasse) dello Studio ai 1500€ della Perivolas Suite (di 140 mq) pare che la disponibilità sia limitata. Per qualcuno la crisi non c'è...

Who doesn't like to go, at least once in life, in a Hotel like this? It's Perivolas Hotel in Santorini (Greece), a combination of the breathtaking scenery, carefully restored traditional architecture and tranquility that reigns supreme.
The infinity pool overlook the sea, and seems to be its natural continuation. The interior is all whitewashed and enlivened by fabrics in shades of purple and fuchsia. The Perivolas Suite includes a private spa with round sunken Jacuzzi and a swimming pool that extends from the inside on the private terrace.
I tried to book a little while ago, but despite of the prices (for October they start from 420€ per night, including breakfast and taxes, for Studio room and arrive until 1500€ for Perivolas suite, 140 square meters) it seems that the availability is limited. For some, the crisis doesn't exist...

Questa è Casa Lapa, una meravigliosa villa di Lisbona progettata dall'interior designer portoghese Vera Iachia. La designer gioca con colori e materiali, creando uno stile unico in ogni stanza della casa. Le opere d'arte punteggiano gli ambienti, posizionate strategicamente in armonia con il contesto.
Dato che mi piace molto il suo gusto eclettico, ho pubblicato altri suoi progetti: lo chalet a Gstaadt, casa Tataui e casa Restelo a Lisbona. Quale preferite?

This is Lapa house, a wonderful villa of Lisbon designed by Portuguese interior designer Vera Iachia.
The designer plays with colors and materials, creating a unique style in every room of the house. The works of art punctuate environments, strategically placed in harmony with the context.
Since I really like her eclectic taste, I published other projects: the chalet in Gstaad, casa Tataui and  casa Restelo in Lisbon. Which one do you prefer?

La prima volta che vidi una piscina a sfioro, e ne rimasi incantata, fu guardando il film "L'avvocato del diavolo" del 1997 con Al Pacino, Keanu Reeves e la stupenda Charlize Theron.
